Skaistkalne Carst Caves. Carst caves are funnelled cave-ins of the upper layers of the earth. The form in places, where underground waters erode rocks and leave holes. People have given carst caves their own names – Hay bed, Goat bed, Death bed and other. They can be visited in the company of a guide.
Bārbele sulphuric spring
In the 18th century there was a healing house for the Duke of Courland next to Barbele Sulphur Spring, but it was destroyed. The water of the sulphur spring can still be scooped and tried.
Kurmene Catholic Church and Manor Park
The church was built in 1870 and is decorated by a sculpture of St.Peter. The manor park is arranged as a landscape park with individual elements of regular planning - ponds and 19th century artificial castle ruins with an open-air stage.
Vecumnieki Parish Museum
The museum is located in the Red school (Sarkanā skola) in Vecumnieki parish , in the living room of school manager Andrew Spekke. Here you can see exposition of scientist, historian, diplomat Arnolds Spekke, parish history, the Red School.
