Mezotne Hillfort is situated on the left bank of the Lielupe River opposite the Mezotne Palace. It is one of the largest fortifications of the 9th-13th century Semigallians. Next to the Hillfort – Mezote Church (not restored!) and the family cemetery of the owners of Mezotne Palace – princes von Lieven. Traditionally on the third Saturday of May Mezotne Hillfort Festivity is held here.
"The Bright Ant's Trail" has been set up in Mezotne Hillfort since 2017 and it offers various activities. Here you can find out about the unique nature inhabitants of the castle mound - the bright ant, hermit beetle, grass-snake, woodpecker, stork and the bat.

Learn about the process of making ceramics, visit the workshop and the oven, see a presentation on making ceramics, cutting and baking. Ceramics from the exhibition are available for sale.
Guided tour around the ceramic studio and demonstration of ceramic processes. It is possible to do a creative workshop and make something for yourself. Allow at least 2 weeks to get it fired. Custom made workshops suited for your wishes.

Svitene Manor and park. Svitene Manor was built in the early 19th century, one of the most beautiful classicism manors in Semigallia, the parade rooms of which have partially preserved the splendid interior decorations. Today the manor is home to Music and Art School. Next to the manor on both sides of the little Svitene River is a park. A Neo-gothic chapel for the owners of the manor family von Elmpt is situated on one side of the park
