Ceramic mosaics with water and fish motive
Freely available object. The mosaic is located at the end of the Strautnieku Street near the river Mēmele, on a 30-meter-long wall of the barn.
We, the owners of Rožmalas, are farmers at heart and want to show our visitors how agriculture has developed over the centuries, from ancient times up to modern day technology. We have created a wonderful exhibition in the Ribbes windmill – ‘The Path of the Grain’. We appreciate the heritage our ancestors left us – the Ribbes windmill– which is not just ours but a part of the community and a source of pride for the region, helping to revive the landscape of the Bauska region.
The design of the windmill with its equipment and details have been developed and tested over centuries. This complex building is a monument to our ancestors heritage and work ethic.
Art Object - Rose Alley
Gorgeous rose decorations made by inhabitants of eight parishes of Bauska and Bauska's county - about 140 participants in total involved into decorating the house facades of Riga street from Kalna Street to Baznicas Street.
Memorial Place - Synagogue garden
In the old town of Bauska, on Riga street 35, a memorial "Synagogue garden" was created in the place of the Bauska Great Synagogue, which was built in July 1844 and was destroyed by Nazi attacks in July 1941. Abraham Isaac Kuk, an outstanding religious thinker, kabbalist, teacher, and then the first highest rabbin of Israel lands, served as the rabbin in the synagogue.
Historical Costumes Exhibition
Starting from July 1, 2018, visitors are welcome to the historical exhibition of costumes on the side of Brunava, in a renovated building on the Lithuanian border, which is named "Mazā muiža". The exposition will contain copies of historical costumes created in a time period of 10 years. The authors are enthusiasts of history, united in the "Studio of historical reconstructions "Rococo ".

In the second half of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, an industrial complex was established in the village of Ceplis - a lime kiln, a brick kiln, a tile factory, an oven tile factory and a glazing workshop, etc. The historic Lime-kiln building is on now on viewing. This unique industrial building with a massive chimney in the center can be observed in two floors, the chimney itself can be viewed from the inside. On the second floor, there is an exhibition room with historical bricks. Currently “Igo Music Management Ltd” is working on a project for the development of these buildings and is creating the art and music center "Ceplis".

The oldest part of Bauska Castle – the impressive 15th century Fortress of the Livonian Order on the peninsula between the junction of the Musa and Memele Rivers which once was a safe guard of the order's border.The Newest part of Bauska Castle – residence for the Dukes of Courland was built at the end of the 16th century. Visitors can see the ruins of the Livonian Order Castle, observe the exposition on the history of the castle and other thematic exhibitions.

Bauska Motor Museum
After the reconstruction Riga Motor Museum branch establishment opened in Bauska in July, 2011. When visiting the southern region of Latvia, pay a visit to the Motor Museum in Bauska. We offer new and well-organized premises with more than 60 old-timers, including agricultural and special military vehicles.
In one of the exhibition halls you can glance at motorcars used in the 30ies and postwar years by bourgeois when going for a ride to the countryside. The second exhibition hall offers a chance to feel the atmosphere of Latvian countryside of the 20ies and 30ies.
Mini zoo “Dobuli” offers a varied and interesting collection of wild and domestic animals, and birds from various countries.
An open-air sightseeing place for both- adults and children with more than 35 species of rabbits in the specially set-up town.
The open-air museum has a Latvian farmstead with a collection of ancient tools.
On the restaurated watermill`s first floor there is a banquet hall.

Bauska Old Town
A National town planning monument, developed in the 16th - 19th century. The oldest building in the Old Town of Bauska is Bauska Church of Holy Spirit and renovated Town Hall.
Bauska Town Hall
The only restored 17th century Town Hall in Latvia. It was built up with private funds of the burgomaster and mayor's council and at that times was the largest and most grand City Hall in the entire Duchy of Courland and Zemgale.

Mežotne Palace is one of the brightest examples of classicism architecture in Latvia, and it is even more significant due to the carefully planned and harmonious landscape around it merging the palace. The present building of Mežotne Palace was constructed from 1797 to 1802 according to the design of Italian architect Giaccomo Quarenghi. Mežotne boasts an English style landscape park based on natural beauty.
Museum offers an exhibition called "Collection of dolls and toys" by Tamara Cudnovska, as well as an exposition on the 20th century's history of Bauska.
The Museum of the poet Vilis Plūdonis (1874-1940) lies on a picturesque bank of River Mēmele. In the dwelling house an exhibition is being displayed which is devoted to the poets life and literary heritage. It is noteworthy to look into a little bathouse which is called by one of the poems of V. Plūdonis ''Rabits bath", household buliding and collections of ethnographic articles and carts.
The recreation spot "Mikelis" is located in Gailisi parish, on the bank of the Musa River, only 12 km from Bauska. In this picturesque area of Zemgale it is possible to enjoy natural peace and well-being, explore the history by observing of Peasant Farm and the Retro Car Museum. Enjoy the fine dining at the resort's restaurant and a stayover in it's new and modern hotel in this beautiful place.

Bauska Lutheran Church of St. Spirit
Bauska Church of Holy Spirit was built in 1591-1594. It has an excellent art collection with unique art objects from the 16th - 19th century. At the back of one of the benches of the church- there is the oldest wood carving of the coat of arms of the town, made in 1640.
The Brukna manor house and a few more estate buildings (two granaries and a cattle house) are situated opposite the Brukna castle mound and the artificial pond on the bank of the Iecava River. The 19th century complex of estate buildings has started a new life by giving a home ti the Catholic youth camps and housing the rehabilitation centre for drug addicts.
No animals allowed in the territory!
Mezotne Hillfort is situated on the left bank of the Lielupe River opposite the Mezotne Palace. It is one of the largest fortifications of the 9th-13th century Semigallians. Next to the Hillfort – Mezote Church (not restored!) and the family cemetery of the owners of Mezotne Palace – princes von Lieven. Traditionally on the third Saturday of May Mezotne Hillfort Festivity is held here.
"The Bright Ant's Trail" has been set up in Mezotne Hillfort since 2017 and it offers various activities. Here you can find out about the unique nature inhabitants of the castle mound - the bright ant, hermit beetle, grass-snake, woodpecker, stork and the bat.

In 2018 started working Bārbele Boys Primary School "Roots and Wings" ("Saknes un spārni") - the only boys' school in Latvia, where education is based on the Montessori pedagogical principles, one day a week in the presence of fathers. The school has two interests - aviation and ornithology.

Landscape Garden of the Strubergi Family has received awards in national competitions of landscape gardens since 1997.
Skaistkalne Parish Museum “Novadnieki” was established to honour the memory of the local history researcher Peteris Lukasevics. It exhibits the artefacts and documents on the history of Skaistkalne district gathered by him.

Bauska St. Sacrament Catholic Church
The Bauska Catholic Church was built in 1864.The interior was designed in the second half of the 19th century. Beside the small church a bell tower was built in 1891
Bauska St. Georgijs the Orthodox Church
The Orthodox Church was built in 1881according to the design of J. F. Baumanis. Partly the interior has been preserved,iconostasis was rebuilt in 1991.
Iecava Roman Catholic Church
Iecava Roman Catholic Church is one of the newest and most modern churches in Iecava municipality and its neighbourhood, opened in 2009.
Iecava Lutheran Church
Iecava Lutheran Church was built in 1641 and rebuilt in the 19th century. In the late 20th century the roof of the church collapsed and the equipment and interior were fully destroyed. Now it has a renovated roof and facades, services and concerts of classical music are held in the altar part. Take a look at the panorama of the neighbourhood from the 50m high church tower. The church is surrounded by a cemetery - a home for many famous people from this municipality and the family crypt of Palens.
Skaistkalne Carst Caves. Carst caves are funnelled cave-ins of the upper layers of the earth. The form in places, where underground waters erode rocks and leave holes. People have given carst caves their own names – Hay bed, Goat bed, Death bed and other. They can be visited in the company of a guide.
Bārbele sulphuric spring
In the 18th century there was a healing house for the Duke of Courland next to Barbele Sulphur Spring, but it was destroyed. The water of the sulphur spring can still be scooped and tried.
Kurmene Catholic Church and Manor Park
The church was built in 1870 and is decorated by a sculpture of St.Peter. The manor park is arranged as a landscape park with individual elements of regular planning - ponds and 19th century artificial castle ruins with an open-air stage.
Stone of Peter the Great
The Stone of Peter the Great lies at the end of Kalēju street.Thanks to the local legends the stone has become a popular place among tourists.The legend says that during the Northern War the Russian Tsar Peter the Great and the Polish King August had a lunch on this stone, and afterwards they put their silver spoons under it.
The monument devoted to those who were killed during the Freedom Fights. The base of the monument was erected in 1929. The works were not completed by several tens of years due to the communist regime. In 1992 the sulptor A. Jansons made and erected a bronze statue of the Semgallian warrior according to the design of his father - the sculptor K. Jansons

The museum is located in the Red school (Sarkanā skola) in Vecumnieki parish , in the living room of school manager Andrew Spekke. Here you can see exposition of scientist, historian, diplomat Arnolds Spekke, parish history, the Red School.
Nature trail Bauska
The trail set up in the Nature Park “Bauska” will take you on a romantic walk along the picturesque bank of the Memele River to Bauska Castle and further on to Kirbaksala, where the Musa and Memele Rivers join to start the Lielupe River.
