Laima Ceramics
Guided tour around the ceramic studio and demonstration of ceramic processes. Each piece has been handmade on the wheel and cradled through many processes. I work with both local clay that I reduction wood-fire in a kiln and porcelain. There is a wide range of pottery available.
It is possible to do a creative workshop and make something for yourself. Allow at least 2 weeks to get it fired. Custom made workshops suited for your wishes.

How to find:
Drive 15.7km from Bauska towards Eleja and 1km after the sign pointing to “Jelgava/Jaunsvirlauka” and just before the bus stop JĀŅUKROGS turn LEFT off from the main road onto the gravel road. Now just straight 2.8km until a house signed “Urštēni”.

Schloss Rundāle
Schloss Rundāle (1736-1740)-eine Kunstperle der lettischen Barockarchitektur, Sommerresidenz des kurländischen Herzogs Ernst Johann Biron, entworfen von F.B.Rastrelli ( Baumeister am russischen Hof). Die Innenausstattung ist im Barock-und Rokokostil gestaltet. Im Schloss sind Ausstellungen statt über die Geschichte der Familie Biron,die des Schlosses eingerichtet.Der neu angelegte park aus der Barockzeit ist den Besuchern zugänglich.
